Albie Berk asked:

There are many things to look for in a hunting lodge. Your hunting lodge will be your refuge for a weekend or a week. If you are a beginner hunter, you may or may not know what to exactly look for while choosing between hunting lodges. You should also realize that there are hundreds of hunting lodges around the world. If you have no idea where to begin, then you can start at the beginning with a few key questions in order to determine what your hunting lodge needs.

Here’s where you need to begin in your hunting lodge search. Do you want an international and exotic trip? Or do you prefer a hunting lodge across the country or down the road from your home? Once you know the general area of where to begin your search, you can look for travel arrangements. You want to make sure that travel arrangements are available for the hunting season that you are choosing to go in. There are hunting lodges all over the United States, Scotland, Australia and Argentina just to begin. Then you can start your search for specific hunting lodges.

Some of the most important factors to remember while researching an appropriate hunting lodge includes such factors as price, location, hunting season, rentals, surrounding area, etc. Service is very important. This hunting trip will most likely also be your vacation. You are going to want to be around helpful people who can be helpful during your hunting vacation. Therefore, the quality of the service is very important. Check hunting lodge reviews and post questions about the service at the hunting lodge in order to find out who’s the best in the area.

Food is definitely a major deciding factor in where to stay. Some hunting lodges offer mini cabins that include one or two bedrooms and a good-sized kitchen where you can make all of your meals. However, if you are looking to be catered, you may look for a hunting lodge that offers a restaurant or even room service. You can also choose a hunting lodge that offers a kitchen and may have a few restaurants close to the lodge so that you can dine or cook when you want.

Many hunting lodges will include a place to rent hunting supplies which is ideal for those who are traveling long distance or simply do not have the space to carry their equipment. You will also want a lodge who not only offers top quality service but also one where the staff knows a lot about hunting, including special hunting hot spots, hunting seasons and techniques. Many lodges will also offer tours and packages which may interest many hunters. You should definitely find a hunting lodge which offers these packaged deals so that you will not only receive a great rate at the hunting lodge but also an experienced and knowledgeable tour guide.

You should thoroughly investigate the hunting lodge that you are planning to stay in. This way, you will find a great place to stay at a great rate, which will be stress free and an excellent hunting trip.

Caffeinated Content for WordPress

Abhishek Agarwal asked:

The United States has many forests, but all of them cannot be counted as public hunting lands. Compared to many other states, Minnesota can provide a fair number of public hunting lands for the eager hunter. Also, plenty of resources are available to provide information regarding these lands. As a matter of fact, Minnesota public hunting land maps are readily provided by the Minnesota DNR or Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.

All the public hunting properties looked after by the state of Minnesota can be pinpointed on the Minnesota public hunting land maps. Hunting regulations and rules slightly vary in each type of land.

According to the Minnesota public hunting land maps, hunting areas in this state have been categorized as follows–

(1) Wildlife Management Areas.

(2) State Forests.

(3) Wildlife Protection Areas.

(4) National Wildlife Refuges.

(5) National Forests.

(6) Industrial Forest Lands.

(7) County-owned Lands.

Each kind of land is described below–

(1) The Department of Natural Resources looks after uplands, woods and wetlands listed as “Wildlife Management Areas”. Public hunting is allowed on these locations during the normal hunting season.

(2) There are 56 forests belonging to the state. Covering an area of three million acres, these “state forests” are home to animals like bear, deer, ruffled grouse and moose. The public is given access for hunting in these areas.

(3) Some areas are under federal protection, yet open for limited public hunting. These “Wildlife Protection Areas” consist of a few uplands and wetlands. The Minnesota Public Recreation Information (PRIM) maps will lend Minnesota public hunting land maps to search for these locations.

(4) The US Fish and Wildlife Service gives access to Minnesota public hunting land maps as well as hunting laws related to its 8 “National Wildlife Refuges”. Hunting is restricted to certain parts only, and the harvest allowed is limited.

(5) The 2 “National Forests” of the state are Superior and Chippewa. A hunter can get Minnesota public hunting land maps for directions to these northern forests from the US National Forest Service, since hunting is allowed on these properties.

(6) Large companies dealing with forest products also own “Industrial Forest Lands”. Hunters are geneally allowed access to these properties during the regular hunting season, unless a company wants to use its land for another purpose.

(7) Landowners who have not been able to pay their taxes, lose their properties (generally forested areas) to the government. They are then considered as “County-owned Lands”. There are Minnesota public hunting land maps to provide directions as well as the list of hunting regulations to be followed. Each county has its own hunting laws. Also, the acreage varies from place to place.

Hunting is a favorite pastime of many and it is a sport that many people are becoming interested in daily. However, many hunters like to hunt for specific wildlife which have particular hunting seasons. If you are unsure about the hunting season for your particular hunt, then this article should help you to identify specific hunting season dates and locations so that you can plan your next hunting trip around these dates.

These are a few of the general hunting dates for some of your favorite hunts. Deer is a huge hunting season. The deer season lasts from November 1st until December 7th. However, hunting deer with a muzzleloader is from November 1st until November 7th while hunting deer with firearms is open from November 8th until December 7th. If you can get away for a weekend, there is a youth deer hunt from October 25th to October 26th , the last weekend in October. This is a fun pre hunting season challenge.

There is also a youth turkey hunting weekend which kicks off the turkey hunting season. From May 3rd until May 31st, the wild turkey hunting season commences. Later on in the fall, the fall turkey season begins with archery from September 15th to December 15th. If you use a shotgun to hunt turkey with, then the fall season for hunting with shotguns is from October 13th until October 17th. In this case, hunting is only allowed from Monday to Friday and is only available in certain areas of the country. Please check with your hunting range previous to making hunting arrangements.

Black bear hunting starts on September 1st. The closing date to this hunting season is still undetermined because of the method and particular location’s regulation. However, the season usually ends sometime in November, making October the perfect month for black bear hunting.

If you are interested in waterfowl hunting the seasons begins in September and ends sometime in January of the following year. Once again the opening and closing dates for waterfowl hunting differ depending on the zone and the particular waterfowl species. From September 27th until September 28th, there is a youth waterfowl hunting weekend.

Moose hunting season runs from October 18th until October 26th. However, be aware that moose hunting almost always requires a moose hunting permit. For any small game hunting, the season is open from September until March of the following year. As you can see, hunting is available year round. If you have a specific prey then you can find your prey’s particular season. If you are an overall hunter, then you can hunt year round.

Some wise tips for the different hunting seasons include calling ahead to your hunting lodge to make sure that your prey is in season and for how long the season will last from. Then make sure that there is space available at that particular lodge to make a reservation so that you don’t miss out on your prey’s hunting season. You should also verify if a hunting permit is required for the particular hunt you will be going on. This will make your vacation and hunting trip go problem free so that you can relax, enjoy and concentrate on your hunt.
